18 Aug Client Focus: EE Connected Club Cup
In May this year, we were only too delighted to work with EE at Wembley Stadium for the EE, Connected Club Cup 2023.
The Esports FIFA competition saw grassroots gamers go head-to-head with Home Nations footballers and Esports pros at a live final held at Wembley Stadium, and connected by EE Full Fibre.
Eight finalists competed in a two-leg round-robin tournament (each player played against every other player in turn) with matches played on both Xbox and PlayStation, all streamed over EE Full Fibre Broadband.
Icon Events were only too happy to provide full video and lighting solutions to support this fantastic event. This also included gaming chairs, and a high spec video wall.
The winners of the Connected Club Cup 2023 were announced as Mariam Musa as the champion of the first women’s tournament and Louie Parker of the men’s group. Mariam and Louie each won the title of the esports FIFA competition after competing in the final against six of the nation’s best male and female grassroots FIFA 23 players.
